Well... I have a sound delaying problem, and tried the extracting and reinserting approach [VirtualDub 1.10.something], but the result was the same. Look what the details are:
Leadtek TvTuner and software: both on previous TV2000XP and actual PVR2000 [mp2 hardware compression], trying to record TV programs with DivX4.12 compression. The PVR-TV application has 3 choices for main stream of video and audio streams:
- video as the main stream [when the audio starts at least half a second late, and the delay increases thru time]
- audio as the main stream [when the audio starts well but it delays as time goes]
- none as the main stream [also audio starts well, delaying with time, but in this case, selecting a position in the "play-gauge" [don't know the right english term - maybe time-selector?!?] it resincronizes at that moment, starting to delay again...
And AS I SAID, extracting and reinserting audio with VirtuaDub does not help. If it does not capture right from the first record, nothing to do...
Capturing with mp2 hardware compression has no such problem. And as it happened with TWO DIFFERENT PIECES OF HARDWARE, I believe I make a configuration error. BUT FIRST TIME I USED THE SOFTWARE IT WORKED WELL. I tried to increase compression and since than - this problem!!! And I can't understand where I am making the mistake, as I formatted the HDD and reinstalled Win2K from scratch to get rid of this, but here it is again!!!
