AutoGK v1.86b
Tried encoding using .mono MP3 CBR 192kbps. Created a broken MP3 file of 50% proper size (I used BeSweet GUI and it worked, so I know it ain't the AC3). Please check what settings you're using with .mono and CBR MP3. IMHO I'd skip --alt-presets when using mono, just use "-mm -a --abr bitrate/2" (or -mm -a -b bitrate/2 for CBR).

Are you saying that "-m m --alt-preset 96" doesn't work? (if you selected 192 then AutoGK will automatically divide that by 2)

I'm saying I selected 192k CBR MP3 in the Advanced Settings of AutoGK, with a .mono file also existing in the source folder. Then I added the job and started it going.
AutoGK created a mono MP3 from the .ac3 (in agk_tmp) which was exactly half the size that a mono 96kbps file should have been, and had weird, "fast motion" glitchy sounding audio. Something seems to be wrong.

Edit N/M...
Will post in a bit, I'll have to replicate the process (I'm in the middle of a different encode).

Ah heck with it, I killed the encode (will do it later).
Here's the BeSweet log (same problem occurred again, strange fast-motion MP3). From looking at it, I wonder if you accidentally swapped the input & output Azid parameters (??).

For a start you're using BeSweet 1.4, that is not bundled with AutoGK!
It a known issue that old besweet had problems with mono encoding. Please put 1.5b29 back and try again.

Oh, it must have been left over from the Stable install, recently I upgraded to latest beta of AutoGK. Thanx, will install the latest version of BeSweet.
