hi,
i just downloaded the latest version of nero recode 2, and i started encoding a 3 min. deleted scene from disc-2 of i,robot 2-disc r3 dvd, and i used standard-avc profile, used he-aac 96 kbps audio and kept bitrate to around 800kbps (output filesize was 22 mb), and in the encoding tools section, i disabled Macroblock partitions and Weighted prediction and also turned off PVE, and kept the rest according to doom9 guide, for the whole process to complete (1 and 2 pass), it took 1 hr. 10 minutes ! fps was around 2.6-2.8 only! is recode really this slow? is there any way to speed up the process? also, please can ayone tell me which options should be turned on for dvd to mp4 conversion in recode 2, and which one of these can be ignored or turned off in high-bitrate (2-cd) rips:
CABAC
Bidirectional prediction
Macroblock partitions
Weighted prediction
Deblocking
Psycho-visual enhancements
