I have seen all the authoring guides on doom9 and they arent completely beyond the scope of my knowledge, but they seem a little too complicated for what I want to do. All I want to do is take two dvd's that I have ripped to my hd already and make a main menu that starts up on first play and says Disc1 or Disc2. Press one button or the other for whatever disc you want then if you press disc1 then it links with the main menu for that disc. I want to keep it as simple as possible and I want to be able to include 2 audio tracks and 2 subtitle tracks. Isnt there some way to make a really simple menu and link the two buttons to the main menus of the respective dvd's? Then take that and run in through DVD RB. Simple is the key here. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. I have Sonic Scenarist, DVDMaestro, tmpgenc dvd author at my disposal.

Yea I knew about that option. Just wondering if there was another option that didnt involve massive re-authoring.

Since you want simple, DVDAuthorGUI or GUIforDVDAuthor can make simple menus. DVDAuthorGUI lets you make rectangular buttons over an mpeg. It can also generate nice motion menus that can be used as a template for your own menus. You can also edit navigational commands to some extent.

Can it handle more than one audio track? I know alot of the more simplistic authoring solutions only allow for one audio track.

DVDauthor will take a VOB, so yes I don't think 2 tracks are a problem. But combining two dvds into one dvd (i.e. one VIDEO_TS for all the material) would be problematic from a navigation standpoint, I would think. You could make just the menu with these free program and try using PGCEdit to make the disc structure you want by adding menus and titles to a simple IFO base. PGCEdit has many capabilities, but to what extent I am not sure.
(You will need to mux the VOB outside of DVDAuthor.) I don't think the gui allows for multiple audio track selection.

dvdauthorgui and GFD both allow for multiple audio streams. Both utilize mplex to mux the streams together. dvdauthorgui i know can take up to 8 audio streams per title. Simply load the first audio stream as usual... then goto extras, and click 'add audio stream'
