I have recorded tv-program with DigiTVCard. That original/recorded file is mpeg (transport stream) which includes subtitles. Then I have demuxed the recorded/original file (mpeg; transport stream) with ProjectX or PVAStrumento. The result is 1. mpeg or mpv (video), 2. mpa (audio) and 3.sup/son (subtitle). I would like to get Divx file which has subtitles in the video (burned in subtitle; part of the video; no external subtitle file). I have done DivX files with Vidomi from other DigiTVCard recordings but those files (recordings) did not have subtitles.

1. If I choose the original mpeg file (transport stream) then Vidomi does add (in the Subtile options window) track1 into the “use subtitle track” list. But even if I choose that track there is no burned in subtitle in the resulting DivX file. How can I get those subtitles which are in the original mpeg (transport stream) included into the DivX file?

2. If I choose the demuxed mpeg/mpv file (which has no audio or subtitles) is it possibile to add the external subtitle file (son, sup etc.) to the DivX file? I did not find this kind of option in the “Subtitle options”.

3. If I choose the demuxed mpeg/mpv file (which has no audio or subtitles) is it possible to add the external audio file (mpa or that file in mp3 format) to the DivX file and turn it into mp3 format or do I have to Use VirtualDub/Nandub to add audio file afterwards into the DivX file?

Thanks.

Ps. Is the Vidomi development finished? The homepage is there but forum is down.

The ppl close to Marty says vidomi development has not finished, but updates seems to never come...
Try AutoGK and see if it can handle your subtitles.

thedee has already started a duplicate thread (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=88132) in the AutoGK/GK forum. Please don't do that anymore, thedee, it violates Rule 8 (http://forum.doom9.org/forum-rules.htm).

I will leave this thread open, but please, only for discussion of Vidomi status. All GK/AGK discussion should happen in the other thread.

Thank you.

I did not try to make duplicate threads because my thinking was that these questions consern 2 different programs (they work in different way so I thought that mergin these 2 questions into 1 question would only make things too comlicated and asking Vidomi questions in the (Auto) Gordian Knot forum would be wrong too). And the questions are in some areas different (they are not completely identical). So I am sorry but I was thinking that 2 seperare questions about 2 seprate programs would be the right way to go (Vidomi issues here and AutoGK issues in the AutoGK forum). Sorry once again. Next time I will merge questions.

Sorry, they looked like duplicate questions to me. But this thread is still open for Vidomi discussion.

The forum has been down for a while. The last vidomi version was released in the summer of 2002 (and, that was beta-quality). Looks dead to me.
