.mpg file synced, but dvd isn't

Ok, so I used QuEnc to encode an avs to an .mpg since it now supports sound encoding. The mpg file turned out fine, but when I used TMPGEnc DVD Author to burn the DVD, as the movie went on the video and audio got more and more out of sync.
Any suggestions? Thanx in advance.
