I'll try this today.
But what is new in this release?

come on, guys !
is it so hard to go to that page and to read that damn feature list ?
because of the 1MB size limit, one of the OSD languages had to be left out. in every firmware there is always the english though. there's heavy work going on to provide more and more language versions. so if your language is not offered, you might want to check back again in a few days, maybe it will be included in the meantime. any help from translators is welcome, as i can't handle everything.
well, let's see then what was done to that lame official firmware, until it became the one i present here today:
general look & feel
localized OSD and settings menu
nicer background pictures (by Laza)
new icons in the setup menu
OSD messages for "volume", "mute" and "3D mode" relocated to the top left corner
file browser
fullscreen file browser
full CP 1250 support for the file and foldernames
selectable file browser font size
selectable file browser font color
selectable time display for MPEG4 video and MP3 audio (off/elapsed/remaining)
selectable JPEG preview
new filetype icons
MPEG4 subtitles
centered subtitles
up to 256 (theoretically) characters in 3 lines depending on selected subtitle size
subtitle field lowered
selectable subtitle colors (foreground/background/outline)
selectable subtitle size (large/medium/small)
for the previous firmware release, you had to choose, what was more important to you, whether you wanted better subtitle support or you needed the DTS decoder feature. with this release you don't have to make decisions anymore, since it supports both long subtitles and DTS decoding... :)

Don't be so rude!! my question was "Whats changed since the previous release" The feature list looks pretty much exactly the same as before.... is the change DTS support?
P.S. next time try and be a bit more friendly with your replies! it was only a simple question

I don' think I was rude, but OK, it it felt so, I apologize... try to answer questions like this a million times without losing your head...
AFAIK I am not obliged to answer any of the questions raised here or in other forums. but I do try to answer questions which have not been answered in some other form yet. if you read back in the topic, you will find out, that I did inform visitors of this topic on every little change since the first FW release two months ago.
and as simple as your question was, was the possibility to compare the previous feature list with the latest one.
and no, not only the DTS support is new, although it is _very important_ feature. the subtitle support was wastly enhanced, the MP3 counter is something, what never worked before, the browser content is easier to read now, just to mention the most important changes.

Shame nothing can be done about some XviD playback issues. But still much better that it was before (Although my player has developed a fault on audio playback) :P

Hi
i had the same problem...my xvid stopped afther a few seconds. I read somewhere else that cutting of the last few frames from a movie might solve it. It worked for me afther i cutted the end off with virtualdub.
Always worth a try

Is it going to be possible to modify the firmware so that it can handle Divx 6? Features like supporting the .divx file extention and the Divx Menu's. Would be great if it were possible.
Out of interest has the 'divx group' released detailed information on how to impliment these new features?
Thanks

well, i wouldn't count on that...
basically there's no way to add such functionalities to the FW yet. this would require a better oversight on the FW internals, which is still more or less a black box without the sources...
