Hello all

My system is built around a dual Xeon board. mftoon seems to be a fantastic tool and i would love to put it to use, however, i am running into problems.

mftoon, of course, makes use of the masktools dll - which is also a fantastic tool. however, as we know, masktools has problems with dual intels and requires a special patched version in order to work.

the problem i then run into is that the patched version of MaskTools that DOES work with my intels DOES NOT work with mfToon. *cry cry*

Ok - did some reading there and the suggestion was to downgrade to an older version of MaskTools (1.4.2) and NOT to autoload it - so I removed the newer patched version of MaskTools from my plugin directory, put the 1.4.2 version of MaskTools.dll and loaded it using LoadPlugin in my script.

The plugin loads fine and virtualdub does not choke on it like it did with the newer version. However - if I call mftoon in my script with "mftoon()", virtualdubmod crashes out while trying to load the script - no error message or anything, just crashes straight out.

very fresh install of windows xp pro sp2
avisynth 2.5
mftoon 0.52
masktools 1.4.2
virtualdubmod

even with the most basic script:
mpeg2source("E:\amv\d2v\14.d2v")
mftoon()

this crash out still happens.

has anyone heard of being able to use mftoon on a system like mine? maybe its not even possible - but if so, id like to hear it from the source. =) any workaround? anything im missing or doing incorrectly?

any help would be greatly greatly appreciated! thanks folks!

Fetch the latest version on http://manao4.free.fr/ There was a bug with Masktools and PIV dual | hyperthreaded, which has been solved with 1.5.5.
