View Full Version : No 'Standard AVC' profile on Recode

I recently downloaded NVE and went to do my first encode via "Recode Main Movie to Nero Digital". When I got to the ND options, the only profile listed in the drop-down box was "Standard", no "Standard AVC" or anything else ("Standard" is ASP of course). Anybody know what's up with that?
I apologize if this has already been mentioned but I searched the forums and didn't find anything.

hm, other people reported too missing options in recode2 (they reported to miss the possibility to choose ND as output at all)
i can only imagine the following problems:
- you need a special registration to use advanced options like ND AVC
- you use an old version of recode2
- recode is buggy
:D

I found the problem, it was a user error (I've been doing lots of those lately :o). For anybody that might have the same problem, I was looking for the AVC profile in the "Burn Settings" stage > "Nero Digital Settings" > "Current profile:". The profile selection, however, must be made at the previous stage "My Nero Digital Movie Backup" > "More >>" button > "Nero Digital Profile".
Thanks for your reply though, bond.

same problem here, NVE 3.0.1.14 shows me a "Maximum Profile", while 3.0.1.18 shows me a "Standard Profile" :S
