I'm using VirtualVCR with Lagarith's lossless codec to record via S-Video from Digital Satellite.

The resolution I've chosen in VirtualVCR is 720x576.

When I'm creating an AVS file for it in Gordian Knot, should I set the Input Pixel Aspect Ratio to 4:3 or 1:1?

I can't tell which of the two is the right one just by looking at the preview.

4:3. That's the shape of a standard definition video signal. 1:1 would keep your AR 1.25:1, which is incorrect.

What kind of driver/Card combination is that exactly as it has been known that direct analogue capturing from 720x576 could result in an incorrect AR. "Maybe 704x576" would be a better choice. Do check if black bars on the sides of approx. 8-9px each do exist, and also have a lool at the Capture FAQ where its explained how to check that.
