This version is the best Pegasys ever made because the MPEG-1 quality was improved. :D .

does it apply to standard vcd mpeg or just "MPEG-1 with long-GOP"?

I only tested GOPs till 25 Frames and with VBR but I think the VCD quality is also better.

I downloaded it today to see what was improved, and I found that it won't open an AVI file with mp3 audio...so I deleted the damn thing and went back to my old version.

...and THEN I noticed that some of the file reader options were unchecked. Doh! Yes, it still works as well as it did before (this new version). Have yet to notice any distinct improvment, but I'm not going to waste time re-encoding an old file to compare..
