hello there,

i want to buy a player next week, and was going to get the yamada 6700 (pretty much the same as 6600) but was curious about the Nero player.

my divx and xvid files come in all shapes and sizes, some with subtitles too. I also have cd's with MP3 files in folders which I want to navigate easily.

i dont understand (nor do I want to) all the technical stuff about kinds of codecs, but I do want a player that is compatible with as many of my mpeg4 files as possible as well as working for playback of my mp3 collection.

which of these would you buy? or is there something better for my specific needs.

your help will be greatly appreciated,

mark.

hello all,

what happened to all the major bainbox techy guys who have a passion for MPEG-4 ?

I decided to go for the Siemssen SCO 5000 (nero machine) despite knowing not much about it other than a bunch of technospeak I did not understand anyway... I just hope I made the right decision - or would a Yamada 6700 have been a wiser choice???

Hi,
I dont know which one is better but since you bought the Siemssen in Germany via Internet you can return it for 2 weeks without any reason. SO test it with your CDs and if it works, well than it works. Otherwise send it back.

cheers,
Daniel

PS I am also considering to buy it.
