Hi,

I've got an avi file that will run in MS player.
G spot says the video codec is xvid, the bit rate is 782Kb/s, the FPS is 23.976 and the QF is 0.217.

The audio is bitrate 57Kb/s, monophonic VBR, 48000HZ

I run the whole thing through DVDtoVCD.

When I play the extracted_audio_1 file (movie file MPEG) file in MS Player, it is too fast, but when I play the encoded_audio_1 file (movie file MPEG)and the encoded_audio_1.mp2 (wave sound) files they are at the correct speed, but the final mplex_muxed_file.00 has the audio too fast (it sounds like the extracted audio file sounds)...please help

thanks

Here is the DVDtoSVCD log file....

Sorry, got some info wrong on the first post...

The extracted_audio_1.mpa file plays at the correct speed

The encoded_audio_1.mp2 plays too fast

The encoded_audio_1.mp2.wav plays at the correct speed

the final muxed file and vob files have the audio too fast, (it sounds like the audio, encoded_audio_1.mp2)

hope this is not too confusing, cos I'm confused!!

I remember this from some time ago.
DVD2SVCD doesn't seem to like mono audio.
I would try playing with BeSweet GUI (see doom9 downloads page) to do the mp2 conversion manually.
When you get it right, save the output file over the Encoded Audio mp2 file in your project folder and then to a crash recover (DVD2SVCD Misc tab) from Muxing and Cutting.

I had the same problem when I captured a program off the TV that was in Mono. You will probably find that the finsihed audio file is exactly half the run time that its supposed to be.

Use BesweetGUI to convert the Audio from Single CHannel Mono to Dual Channel mono.

If you convert it to Stereo you will pick up some weird distorted noises coming from surround speakers (if you have them in your home theatre and you listen closely)

i have also the same problem. THe mp2 file goes 2x faster as usual. When i convert the wav file with Belight, using the same BeSweet files as dvd2svcd uses ( i just coppied them), everthing is fine...
but it's verry frustrating doing everthing manual. The problem was only the last 3 movies i had to convert from ntsc to pal
anyone a solution? I have heard there's a new shibatch.dll , maybe this can solve the problem?? But i donnu where to download the shibatch.dll. Anyone...
i hope the problem will be fixed soon!!
you can also send me a PM :sly:
