View Full Version : PS2 Mpeg-2 Files Decodable With Vdub?

I've been speaking with Gabest for a while about this and sent him a *.pss file copied straight off from a PlayStation 2 disc. The file in itself is a regular MPEG-2 file for the video part, but as far as the sound goes, it's something else. I don't know exactly what the sound is, but I haven't managed to get it working with any player or encoder. Gabest on the other hand has implemented decoding support for the audio in the next release of MPC, so if anyone is interested in getting VirtualDubMod or whatever to work with the audio, here's a link to his decoder for MPC. If you want me to attach the PS2 video file, I can do that, but I don't know how that'll affect the copyright laws. In any case, if you got a PS2 game containing MPEG-2 video, it ought to be the same.
