I see in history.txt:

1.70 beta
....
- removed support for old XviD and DivX versions. Now only XviD 1.0.2 and DivX 5.2.1 are supported

But I found in my comp DivX Pro 5.1.1 Adware, installed with Gordian.Knot.Codec.Pack.1.7.Setup.exe (I think), and AutoGK silently loads and works. It is neccessary exact DivX 5.2.1 to be installed? And what wrong with DivX 5.1.1?

Further, on DivX site I only found DivX Pro 5.2.1 six month trial. Where to get unlimited AdwareBundled version, as for 5.1.1? Or DivX marketing policy changed and I may only use Trial version or must to purchase full?

I do not check for versions explicitely. But comptest is tuned to work for 5.2.1 only. If it works for you with 5.1.1 - fine, but officially its no longer supported.

P.S. Yes, DXN policy has changed.

You can still download Divx 5.2.1 pro original, look at the UPDATE button on Divx pro webpage. Here is the link: http://www.divx.com/divx/divxpro/upgrade/

But, make sure you have a Official registered version of your DivxPro 5.xx already installed, if so, just install it without uninstal of any older version, if you don't have any registereded version, you must buy it...., and if you buy once, update for ever........

p.s. the version 5.2.1 do not improve any encoding quality than 5.1.1.......
