Hay,
I am tring to find GK source to understand how you encode the audio back to the AVI.
I need to extract the audio from one AVI, then mux it to a second AVI.
I am looking to understand how to tell virtualdub mod to do this via the command line.
any hint?

i guess the easiest way to do that is to
1) open vdmod
2) open your avi
3) add your audio to the stream list
4) save, but don't run the job yet (it will be added to the jobs)
5) open the jobs file (in vdmod directory)
6) investigate the jobs file to understand, how this is done
7) you need to generate similar jobs file, but obviously substitute the avi & audio (i remember i had once some difficulties because the lenghts were different and there was some odd trim in the file, but perhaps you can just remove it, if it's there)
8) run vdmod and feed the jobs file to it (i don't remember the exact syntax, but read e.g. the vd docs for that)

seems better to try and learn VirtualDub scripting, then consult the source.
One conclution though: Better to use VirtualDub to filter and compress then my current AVS2AVI technic.
