freeware avi/mpeg/wmv joiner?

i'm not sure if this is the right board, so if it's not please move this thread :)

does %subj% exist at all? i know i can merge avi's with vdub. i guess i could find tools for mpeg/wmv aswell. but vdub isn't really convenient for this purpose.. and most of tools i find on google are some transcoders which recompress files to new format.. which i dont want. so could anyone perhaps suggest a nice util for this purpose?

For MPEG-2 cutting/joining you can use any MPEG 2 cutter, like Cuttermaran (http://www.cuttermaran.de/frameset.htm).
