I wonder if burning with these are totally equivalent?
I have heard arguments that say DVDD is better because it's file system is more akin to DVD-Video and, even more importantly, it respects 32k block breaks without putting IFOs and BUPs in the same block.
Is this right, or just an old wives tale?
Can someone please direct me to a technical description of the difference (if any)?
Many thanks

Its hard to say the exact differences on a technical level because unlike DVD Decrypter, Nero doesn't post exact changes to its burning engine. There are minor things that DVD Decrypter can do that it appears Nero will not do (convert ISO sector sizes on the fly while burning, etc.). But feature to feature they are pretty similar.
As far as the IFO/BUP thing, LightningUK would need to say for certain, but I would imagine the placement of the files would be up to the actual mastering software, and that for the mostpart, DVD Decrypter burns what its told to burn.
I think the biggest advantage to DVDDecrypter is its personalized technical support and the big support community surrounding it. Not only that, but since you're already using DVDDecrypter to decrypt in most cases, you can eliminate a tool from your chain (DVD tools that is, still may use Nero for CDs) if you use it to burn as well.
Its neat to see how DVDDecrypter has evolved over the years to where it is now, truly a testimony to LightningUK's dedication to the hobby and to the userbase as a whole. If anyone out there hasn't donated yet, consider this a friendly reminder that you can donate via dvddecrypter.com :-) to help support this great guy's efforts.
