3pass encoding using Xvid (gk) possiible?

Hello there!
Why is it, that there are no 3pass options in gk, using the Xvid codec? more than 2 passes seem only possible, using divX!

because XviD doesn't support 3 (or more) pass encoding.
it reaches superior quality already with 2 passes...
