Can't encode SVCD?

I've got a couple of SVCD movie files that I can watch using Win DVD with no problems, but I can't seem to encode them with TMPGenc 2.5 - it says files not supported. I know I have been able to in the past but recently had to format my hard drive.

Can anyone help?

Get an utility called DVD2AVI. Open the mpg, save project - it will produce a *.d2v file. Open .d2v file with TMPG and encode.
