I have been using AutoGK for the past month and its the best thing ever. But lately every movie i go to encode, the sound is off, for all movies, and it seems to be off the same amount. Any ideas what is causing this, i thought it was because my computer has been on for forever, but i restarted and still not working . please help !!

What does "off" mean in your case?

there is a delay, only about 2 seconds, but it seems to be consistant in every new rip.

So you're saying that non of the audio demuxed by DGIndex into agk_temp dir has delays in the name of the files anymore? Did your hardware configuration changed recently? Do you see the delay if you try manually demux audio with DGIndex?

ahhh thank you len0x, you are right, in the autogk temp directory the audio has a delay in the file name, that is what i was missing, ill fix it myself in vdub, but in the future how do i get autogk to recognize that there is a delay ??

AutoGK is supposed to recognize that delay automatically. If you use ".debug" hidden option and do an encode then please post the AutoGK log file and we'll be able to see if anything goes wrong.

also, the audio file is named
VTS_01_1 AC3 T01 3_2ch 384Kbps DELAY -16ms.ac3
so i go into nandub, set both to direct stream copy, and go to audio interleaving, and put -16 next to ms but the audio is still off , any ideas ?

You wouldn't be able to hear 16ms delay anyway, so it must be something else. I suspect playback problem then... (if you say that every movie is like that)

yeah you are right cause 16 ms is nothing, the audio is off probably around 2-4 seconds, but i cant seem to be able to fix this in vdub/nandub, is there someway of figuring out exactly how much im off by?

no :)
Try diffent players (BSPlayer, MPC, VLC etc) to see if there is any difference in playback.

so does autoGK not support older movies with delays in the audio tracks ? This batch of movies are some of the first that i have come across that didnt come out perfect.

Hi-
Of course, AutoGK supports new and old movies. The age of the movie or of the DVD has nothing to do with it. I, as does len0x, suspect some other problem causing the out-of-synch audio. Did you try his suggestion and see if you get the same delays with other players?
Are you playing from the hard drive, or from the CD-ROM?
Anything running in the background? What percent of your computer's resources are being used when watching movies? Is your computer powerful enough? Are you infested with Adware/Spyware?
Before, you didn't have this problem, and the problem started only recently? And the AutoGK movies you made before used to work fine, and now they don't anymore? If so, then it doesn't really sound like an AutoGK problem to me.
