View Full Version : Audio Dropouts on STB

I am having all kinds of problems ever since I started using 8X DVD-R Media. One problem was cheap media, so I am using TDK DVD-R and a 16X Toshiba DVD-RW drive.

The problem is on my STB Pioneer DV-656a I am experiencing Audio drops in the 5.1 stream ONLY during high-action or movement (high bitrate) scenes.

I am using Roxio DVD-Copy 7. It appears to me that this may be pushing the bitrate into non-standards that is making the STB choke.

Does anyone have suggestions or more information on this? I am playing the same DVD on the computer DVD drive (the Toshiba) with no problems.

Thanks!
Ken

try burning with half of maximum speed ... (i.e. 4x or 8x)
