View Full Version : Does Vdub supposed to be dropping this many frames?

I am getting about one frame dropped per minute of capturing in VDUB, and none of them are from audio/video desynchronization. I tried the doom9 settings and they didn't make it better. In fact, now when I am capturing the capture gets split up into multiple files and never gets put back together.

I am using HuffYUV at 704x480 YUV2. I tried adjusting the HUFFYUV settings, didn't help any. VDubs CPU Load never reaches 30% on my system.

System:
Athlon 64 3200+
1 GB 3200 ram
Radeon 9800 aiw
2x 200GB hdds

EDIT: How do I append a 29.97 XVID to a XVID from a VDUB capture? The sampling rates are different. I changed the rate of one file with avisynth (this file does not contain audio), to 29.96973 and I got another error. The error said "cannot append segments...(29.96973 vs 29.96973). If the rates are the same why does this message come up?

Re-write both files witb VD with rate set to 29.97, /set direct video coping/. Then you can append one to another. Computer is detecting differences may be on 10th place after point

Just tried that, framerate remained the same.

If video rewriting is not working take care about audio.
