Maybe this should named something like "are all medias crap today"...

I'm really not sure what is going on.

Case is that in last couple months I have lot of problems with reading DVDs with my both drive (one is Pioneer 116, over 3 years old, and new NEC 2510A).

Very often I got message about 'can't read xxx file' when copying from DVD's. Then I make pause of 5 minutes and I copy all from that disk fast and errorfree. I thought first about bad media and overheating of drive, but it appears on all drives in same way. I loaned brandnew Lite On drive, and it was all same.

Then I suspected power supply in PC, because problems were more frequently when I used bot DVD drive simultaneously.

Tried everything, even changed motherboard, but it still exists, maybe little less with new MBO.

Must say that it happems with all medias, spindled, boxed (Verbatim, Primedisk (Ritek), Maxell, Memorex, TDK etc.) I newer burned Princo DVD. Also, it happens in same way with medias burned on other machine. Speed of burn has no rule.

Some people says that Nero often burns DVD bad, and that they started to use other programs and problems disappeared...

All this is very confusing. As only logical explanation for me seems that drives are overloaded by reading DVDR's and overheats...
But why it happens with 3 drives in same way?
