Proposed Mpeg4 and Co. title change

It's nothing much really....

I just wondered whether it would be a good idea to put a little more detail into the section title box, instead of just "MPEG-4 and Co." Such as the following: -

Well.... seeing as though this section currently includes discussions about "Gordian Knot" and "Containers"... quite a bit, I'd say ;)

actually i like the and co. :)

i would avoid listing specific formats, as development changes a lot very often, new formats dont get listed aso...

i would keep things as simple as possible, if changing it, maybe calling it something like "mpeg-4 and other new a/v formats"

but also coming to my mind: people started to discuss mpeg-4 systems in the container forum too, which actually is neither an audio nor video format. also there are streaming issues aso and gknot is also not really a video format in the classical sense :D

You would go and mention stuff like that wouldn't you!

I just had this thought that by only mentioning "Mpeg4 and Co." in the main title, it might mean some visitors/members overlook all the goodies buried within the section!

Much as I like Mpeg4, I think it's only fair to mention the names of the other main codec players too. Especially as RealVideo now has it's own sub-section and an AVC sub-section is on the horizon!

This section of the forum is already very busy but I can see it getting even busier when AVC takes off.... Looks like you guys might need some more moderators :D
