S-Video on Elta 8883?

I cannot seem to get S-Video output on an Elta 8883. It does not give an S-Video option in the menu only Off, YUV and RGB. I tried the S-Video at the back of the player and it comes out all garbled on the screen for a moment then fades to a blank screen.

Any ideas?

EDIT: Hmm. It would seem that S-Video and SCART RGB are not sent at the same time and S-Video cannot send via SCART only the S-Video out. Oh well I can work around that.
