Do I Need ConvertToYUY2

For encoding my captured avi to mpeg2 with cce my script is

Avisource("my_family.avi")
Addborders(12,0,12,0)
Trim(184,73305)

ConvertToYUY2(interlaced=true)

What i wanted to know was do i need the ConvertToYUY2(interlaced=true) as my avi was capture to yuy2 with vd.

What capture codec did you use?

Try:
AVISource(...)
Info()and see what colorspace it uses by default.

Or use:
AVISource(..., pixel_type="yuy2")

I used huffyuv 2.2.0

I added the info() line, opened in vd colourspace : YUY2

What i wanted to know was do i need the ConvertToYUY2(interlaced=true) as my avi was capture to yuy2 with vd.
... then you don't need it. Btw, it doesn't do anything if your video is already YUY2.
