Hi,
About five months ago I delved into the art of engineering music into the Dolby Digital sound format. I created something, and somehow managed to burn it to a CD-R using Nero. The annoying thing is that I could not remember how I did it. Then, about a month ago I managed to do it again! I simply renamed a .AC3 file to a .wav file, and it burnt to a CD-R perfectly for playback. Now when I try this, it doesn't work. I've tried burning on three PCs, with multiple burning software but it doesn't work.
I've created something for new year's eve, and am wanting to put it on a CD-R for playing through a DVD player. I had spent about 17 hours trying various software, various file formats, and various burning software. I had no luck, so decided I would sign up here to ask my question. I've found this website immensely useful.
I read your besure tutorial, and tried converting my AC3 file to a AC3-WAV file. When I burn this to a CD-R, and try playing it on my DVD player it seems to interpret it as a two channel file, and I hear some sort of digital noise. What am I doing wrong? It would be fantastic if someone could assist me :). I would have given up by now, and assumed that my decoder can't handle this format, but I've managed to do it before!
If it helps, I'm creating the individual channel wav files in Acid Pro 4 and I am creating the ac3 file with SixWav2AC3. I'm trying to play it in a "Panasonic DVD Video Recorder DMR-E100H" hooked up to a "Panasonic AV Control Receiver SA-XR50"
Thanks so very much for your time.
