multiple avis to dvd

i have several avi files that i want to be placed on one dvd. WHat would be the quickest program to do this? i would use tmpgenc to encode them, but i dont want to wait 4-5 hours for each one hour file. I have tried winavi, but i wasnt able to fit more than one file at a time on a dvd with that program. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Then CCE would be the encoder you need. It is very fast, yet it outputs high quality MPEG-2.
What are your PC specs, btw ?

CCE is the best program for this task. Just create an avisynth script (or virtualdub frameserver file) for each AVI, then load them all into CCE.

Two pass VBR should be sufficient, and I usually get less than 1 hr per pass.
