Whenever I try to launch an encode, I get a log with this error:

ERROR in file:E:\Sources\Current\Recode 2.2\Nero Recode II\burning\../directshow/DSError.h, line:120, error:Class not registered (0x80040154)
02:09:56 File burn_ndigital.cpp, Line 200
NeroDigital: exit

I'm trying to encode an unprotected vob to Standard AVC to a file on the HD.

A couple of people have complained about this same issue but I couldn't find any solution to it in this board. Did I miss something?

Any help would be appreciated.

Try to register all files in C:\Progam files\Common Files\Ahead\DSFilter\
Be sure that you have correct permissions.

For this reason you could use a bat file like this:

@echo off
for %%c in (*.dll) do regsvr32 /s %%c
for %%c in (*.ax) do regsvr32 /s %%c
echo Registration finished

I tried that and i still have the exact same problem.

By the way, E:\ is an empty dvd burner. Nero says:
ERROR in file:E:\Sources\Current\Recode 2.2\Nero Recode II\burning\../directshow/DSError.h

but there is no such a path anywhere on my HD, not on e:\ and not on any other partition. Assuming this is a path of course...because a path would not have \burning\../directshow in it. doesn't make much sense...

Again this looks to me like a possible overclocking issue - is your system overclocked? If it is, un-overclock, test again, and let us know if you had success

Nah, my system is fine. I found this in the main thread:

and enter serial number for all the things, like multichannel plug-in, nero digital, mpeg2 dvd plugin ect ect...

I did the same thing and now it works...very very weird. The error did not look like a serial problem at all.

Im getting the same problem.

Heres what the log says:

ERROR in file:E:\Sources\Current\Recode 2.2 Compare\Nero Recode II\burning\../directshow/DSError.h, line:120, error:Class not registered (0x80040154)
23:41:56 File burn_ndigital.cpp, Line 200
NeroDigital: exit

Ive tried a few things and none have worked so far.

Ive tried:

* Checking the codecs are correct in gspot with no bad ones in list.

* Re-entered serial keys in both Nero Burning ROM and Nero Vision Express.

* From what I can tell, I think the trouble Im having is with the codec NeNDVid.ax (version 3.2.0.30). Ive tried unregistering and re-registering, double checking in gspots filter list to make sure it loaded ok.

* One odd thing is that the NeNDVid.ax doesnt appear in Radlights Filter List. It should have "Nero Digital AVC Video Enc" like gspot.

Its driving me nuts! Any help muchos apprieciated. :thanks:

The error refers to filter registration problem. It may be problem with your serial# if unregistering/re-registering filters doesn't work.
What Nero version you have (latest update?)

You can try also uninstall, use Nero registry cleanup tool, and re-install.

Hi.

Thanks for replying.

I have Nero 6 Ultra Edition (ver: 6.3.1.25) and Nero Vision Express 3.1.0.25. Serials entered fine on them.

Could it be because of the older Nero 6 Ultra Edition?

Cheers.

Can't say for sure, but try downloading and installing the update package1 in order to get Nero 6.6.1.15a
