Wil the modified firmware he made for Elta 8883A work on my Elta 8883?

If not, is there any firmware hack for the 8883 that gives outlined subtitles?

Do you know about the Philips DVP642? Is he planning on doing a firmware for that one?

Thanks

You can easily change the subtitle color/outline/background of the elta with the MTK Subtitle Patcher from this site:

Well using that prog to edit the 8883 Elta firmware I see nothing about changing the subtitle fonts and making it centered and outlined. The only fonts you can change there are the OSD fonts which I think are different to the subtitle fonts.

Well, if you set the outline color to black you will have an outlined font.
If you want to change the complete font you need other tools - MTKRemaker and FonCreator.

Centered subtitles can not be done with this tools.
