I have video files burned to cd and when I try and copy them onto my hard disk (drag and drop), I get an error reading them which stops the copying process.
Is there any way to get past this so it copys the file onto the computer (including the damaged part).

The best you can do is clean the cd and hope it's just due to dirt/fingerprints
Other than that, try different cd drives and softwares to extract cd data
If data integrity is not that important (for example, video or audio files), certain softwares allow you to ignore, omit or replace damaged sectors with zeroes (ISOBuster, e.g.)

Im copying video so integretity isnt that important. Didnt realise ISO buster could ignore damaged sectors. Thats exactly what I want.
