Anyone Know How To....(slight off topic)

I have an old sony 8mm video camera that no longer records but still operates as a player etc. I am wondering if anyone knows of a simple way that I can use this camera to monitor the room outside my office...i.e. use an rca cable from video out on the camera to my computer. Again, no recording, just monitoring using the live feed from the camera.

I have pinnacle studio 8 which I know will work, however, this program sucks up a good bit of resources on my machine so I would rather find a smaller app'y that will allow me to run a small window with the video feed. My capture card is actually an external Pinnacle USB MovieBox.

I apologize if this is off topic....just though some here may know of a freeware app that will accept the feed from the pinnacle moviebox :)

Might be less hassle to just get a cheap webcam.

My work uses a Dlink wireless cam, but that needs an access point and a $60 camera.

I think no matter what you do since you need to do an analog capture you will be sucking up a good deal of resources.
