Hi,
I'm trying to run "Whole 10 yards" through "the big 3" - but there are a few minor issues with some of the subtitles. A couple of the subtitles are marked as "NoStop" - which makes the subtitles present on the video for approx 30-45 seconds, until the next subtitle appear. I know for sure, that the behaviour isn't like this on the original disc. How and where can I correct this ?

Simplest thing to do, is to remove the no stop from the filename in the sst, and relace the end time with your preferred end time.

Only problem is, that the file isn't named nostop...
From the sst-file I have:
0101 00:11:16:19 00:11:19:17 VTS_01_VSUB_P1A1-00-WL-Dansk_0101_v001_c002.bmp
0102 00:11:21:17 00:11:24:17 VTS_01_VSUB_P1A1-00-WL-Dansk_0102_v001_c002.bmp
0103 00:11:46:06 00:11:49:08 VTS_01_VSUB_P1A1-00-WL-Dansk_0103_v001_c002.bmp
Where 0102 is the subtitle getting marked as nostop in Scenarist (actually, it's named VTS1_P1_00_102(no Stop) in the track editor).
This is why I'm a bit confused about the "no stop" marking ... :confused:

Hi again,
I think I've located the problem - checking the SCP file used for import, there a section like this missing:
Item=Display Stop
{
Data=
Start Time To Video=00:00:02;23
Resolution=PAL
Drop Type=Non-drop frame
Start Time=00:00:00;00
Duration=00:00:01;00
}
for the 102 subtitle (and a couple of others as well).
I guess I'll have to insert these manually - but the SCP file is generated by another program - ScenAid ? As you can see in my previous posting, there should be a limit on the duration of subtitle 102 - but for some reason, this stop-entry is never added to the scenarist script file ?

scenaid reads the filename and if there is a 'no Stop' in the file name then it doesnt place a stop in the script (that section you pasted)
what zeul is saying to do is to remove the words 'no Stop' from the filename of 0102 (rename it in explorer) and any others giving you an issue.. then remake the script with scenaid (close scenaid if its still open first).. scenaid will then place stop instructions when it creates the script for 0102 and the others.
the problem is vsrip didnt find a stop for those subs when it was ripping and mis-named the files when ripping the subs.

your problem in 102 is that the duration is 3secs. Now vsrip often reports a no-stop sub as having a duration of 3secs - think of it as a default duration. So, scenaid has found a duration of 3secs and is treating it as a no-stop, so i suspect the duration is being reported as ~25secs (which would take it to the next sub). In scenaid, sub handling, advanced BOV options try turning off the option 'treat 3secs as no-stop'

In ScenAid, I don't have an option named "Advanced BOV options"
I have sub handling->advanced options - but in that window there's no option for that 3-second setting...
I'm using ScenAid 1.0.0.0 (Final)

there's nothing in the settings for the 3sec option...just to remove stops or not
I will be correcting the 3sec delay so it only treats it as "NoStop" if it's the last bmp in the .sst (this is in reality how vsconv handles it)
