I hope you can help

I have just captured my old video 8 tapes to mpeg2 720x576 PAL variable 8000kbps 80% with 48k mpeg audio 224k stereo, using ATI AIW Radeon.

On the computer running WinXP SP2 and using media player they look great. Try as I might, I can't get it to play on any DVD that I burn, I have tried 3 different progs, all give the same result.

When DVDs are made, all static video (or not a lot of movement) and static Photos are great, but all motion is jerky.

What am I doing wrong

that is beacuse most likely your captured video is encoded interlaced, but some programs will encode video as progressive by default. would be helpful if you told us what programs you've used already.

Thank you for replying

I captured the original mpeg files using Ulead Media Studio Pro 7
edited them in the same prog.

I burnt them in 3 different progs to make DVD's. Ulead DVD Workshop 2, Roxio 7 & Power Director 3 (which I borrowed, because I was getting desparate)

Does this help?
