Hi,

I have a miniDV tape that I used to shoot video in 16:9 mode using Canon GL1 3CCD camcorder. I would now like to shoot 4:3 video on the remaining space in the same miniDV cassette. Can I mix two different video modes (16:9 and 4:3) on the same cassette?

Genuine replies appreciated since I'm going to shoot a family event soon and its highly essential that I shoot it right. I know I can go for a new miniDV cassette but I just want to use the cassette that I used for shooting in 16:9 mode. Even if I can mix both, will there be a issue when using a NLE to capture and edit videos shot in both modes?

Appreciate feedbacks.

Yes.

Also recommended: Use AdobePremiere to back it up on HDD as it will break down the AVI via timecode so you will get separate clips of all your 16:9 and 4:3 content
