Well, I guess when dvd:rb gets it, it's not R3. I bought a movie that was R3(I had to take the chance, I wanted this movie http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0410537/), and I planned on just using DVD Decrypter to remove the RC, and then transcode it to DVD5, and burn it to have a watchable copy in my R1 DVD player.

Now, I ripped it fine without errors. I can use PowerDVD to play the movie from the harddisk fine, but if I try to load it up with DVD:RB, during the prep phase, I get Runtime Error 5. I'm not sure what to do. I tryed running it through other software, like DVD Remake and re-exporting it, but all the software I throw it at chokes on it. I was hoping someone could give me some insight.

Can you open the ripped files with DVD Shrink?

Nope, "Invalid data in file..."

Try doing a mock strip in infoedit.

Do you really want the Extras? If you don't try to rip the main movie only and then use DVDShrink to make the proper authoring without shrink then try Rebuilder to make it fit on your DVD-5.

I actually got this to work. I used the trial of Region CSS Free in conjunction with DVD Shrink to actually rip the DVD(with compression turned off). Then using the ripped files, I was able to process them with DVD: RB just fine. It seems DVD Decryptor has trouble when it is attempting to rip a dvd with a different media RC then the Logical RC. If anyone from DVD Decryptor thinks this is worth looking into, I can help all I can with my DVD. Thanks.

On General Settings od DVD Decrypter it has the option to specify the RCE Protection Region... did you specified the correct region for that DVD?

Yes I did. However, that should not be a factor, as the disc was not RCE protected, only RC.
