Hello,
I'm looking for a multimedia center. The goal is to store DVD (VOB files), music and photos in a unique PC server and to stream them on my TV and HiFi. They are some solutions now (Kiss player, Pinnacle Showcenter, ...) but I haven't found the perfect one.
Panasonic has a network player with 400 GB built-in HD. Theoretically perfect, but expensive and no way to update firmware. And what about the file format compatibility?
Do you know systems allowing bidirectionnal streaming (allowing video recording). The showcenter can do it, but it converts all your music files in mp3 format before streaming and cannot read DVD (and it made by Pinnacle, which is even worth!). What about Kiss players. Does someone have experince with it? Some models have internal hard drive allowing video recording...
