I downloaded a trial version of Ulead MediaStudio and
made a little test project in VideoEditor. But I have unknown problem:
On disk I have a short avi file with some dark scenes. It is a DV 1 video from digital camera. Frames are dark and noise (night scenes) but its normal with 1/6'' ccd. Its not problem this time. Well, this noise scene (but without any artefacts) encoded DV1 (from Cam) I imported to timeline in VideoEditor.
Everything there was for this moment well.
When I created video (File/Create) with or without any editing
output avi have many artefacts on dark place !
Compression was set to DV1 like input source.
So, I have made next test: I created avi without any commpresion (Option->Uncompressed) And?
Identical as earlier ! A lot artefacts ! I do not understand it because put was uncompressed.
Where from these artefacts??? OK, I made next test : This same source video with dark scene I decompression to Uncompressed RGB on another tool (VirtualDub). And this uncompressed I imported to VE timeline again and again I dont made any editing then I again only created output avi. What this time ? It was all OK !!
With DV compression or without - scenes have not any atrefacts !
So, what You think about? VE from UleadMediaStudio can not like dark Dv1 source ??? But why it interferes to movie in mode uncompressed even ?
Greetings.
