Poll: Doom9 vs. DivX GK Tut?

(Ok, this is not to do with Gordian Knot.)

No offence but does anyone think reading DivX.com Gordian Knot tutorial is much easier than Doom9.com's GK tutorial?

No doubt it is. But there's a different aim for the two guides.. divx.com's aim is quick and dirty, mine is comprehensiveness.. obviously things get longer and potentially more complicated (it's an art to know which parts of a text you can safely skip.. I think they honed those skills at college so perhaps I expect other people to know just as well as I that there are parts you can skip without danger), but if you looking to have every parameter explained.. there's but one choice. Plus.. if you want to have it simple.. the AutoGK guide is easy to follow, isn't it? Those who prefer easy over comprehensive should look at AutoGK anyway.

Oh, sorry Doom9 mate. I really like your tutorial aswell. It's just that when I first time used GK (not auto) I was like wow! This is complex stuff. But DivX.com's tutorial made everything easy to process. You tutorial is more understandable now for "some experience of divxing" users. But overall it's good.

Btw. Can GK or AutoGK intelligently read episodes within a DVD and encode a specific episode?
