hy!
i get the audio error, could you pleae help me resolve this?
my source files are mpeg-program-streams generated by a capture device. they have 48khz lpcm stereo audio.
while indexing i see the audio stream is found, cause in dgmpgdec´s info window it counts the lpcm timecode. but its not demuxed.
when i change to another audio id, DGMPGDec doesnt show any audio timestamp, so the audio id must be ok (80,track1). using dmpgdec alone i can demux the audio without problems.
i know from othe programs, that the lpcm of my capture device is kind of strange, but vdubmod transcodes it to mp3 without problems.
heres the log:

I would suggest two things as a start: do not use dashes in the file names and use latest version of AutoGK.
*Edit* Are you sure that you're able to manually _demux_ LPCM audio and not _decode_ it? Afaik LPCM tracks can only be decoded in DGIndex, but since AutoGK has no way of detecting LPCM audio in mpeg file at the moment, so it tries to demux it...

we have two solutions for this LPCM problem:
- make DGIndex decode instead of demux for LPCM tracks by default (I've made a hack and you can try new version of DGIndex here: http://len0x.leffe.dnsalias.com/DGIndex.zip )
- make AutoGK respect audio_id hidden option in a better way: i.e. LPCM tracks would have IDs like 0xA0 (instead 0x80 for AC3). But this still requires manual intervention (i.e. you have to know what to do in this case).
I like first solution better, but I don't know if I compiled DGIndex OK :) So please try it.

:D thank you ! (i just used this light blue button in your proggie)
of course you where right, its decode not demux...works with the dashes in the filename and autgk 1.6. the coolest thing is that autogk sets the right interlaced flag (topfield), whereas encoding with vdubmod when i tried manually, set it bottomfield-first.
but now i have another issue..seems besweet dislikes little inconsistencies in the audio stream. of a 595mb audio strem after 1:29 it prints out this error message all the time while encoding:
flushbits <> ResvSizeInternal buffer inconsistency - from this point on the audio is scrambled...(original file plays back fine). do you know how i can bypass this error? as preset i am using 192 cbr mp3

Is BeSweet having problems with the WAV file demuxed from you capture?
Have you tried other encoders to see if they can process such file?

yes, lame3.95.1.exe encodes the same wav in preset cbr 192, lame in vdubmod too.

Just in case - can you check that WAV file produced by DGIndex 1.0.12 and my new version is the same. If it is then I don't know - there must be something wrong with the audio in mpeg file...

hy, i think my device makes errors in the streams very often.. i experencied problems with some software, but lame seems to get over it. would it be possible to have autogk not use besweet but just "lame <file> --preset cbr 192" ? i included the file compare result

Second file: "D:\tv-xvid\agk_tmp\dgindex-neu.wav"

But the error is coming from lame_enc.dll (i.e. supposed to be the same as lame.exe). It has nothing to do with BeSweet. You can do some experiments: AutoGK uses the following arguments to besweet:
-core( -input "file.wav" -output "file.mp3" -logfile "file.log" ) -ota( -hybridgain ) -azid( -L -3db -c normal ) -lame( -h --cbr -b 192 )
You can try removing azid parameters (they are not needed for WAV files) and see if it helps or you can try finding latest lame_enc.dll - may be that can make a difference.

without
-azid( -L -3db -c normal )
it works!

I can fix that then

sorry! i only checked if it was encoding past 1:29. now i let it run over the whole file and it stopped at 0:59 with the same error. without ota it stops even earlier. i made a run with all the options and the new lame.dll (3.95.1) and it didnt complain. i guess the new dll solved my problem. thank you!
len0x
15th December 2004, 12:15
so if you just put new lame_enc.dll into besweet folder then from within AutoGK everything runs fine?

Have you tried 3.96.1 btw? I'm thinking about putting latest one into the pack.

yes, i just put the new dll into the besweet folder. i will try with the newest lame too when i´m at home again.

You can try latest version of AutoGK that is shipped with 3.96.1 now.

New to AutoGK. Trying latest beta.
It reports unknown audio. If I try to do a preview it gives me no video only the path to the AVS file too.

I merged oddball's new thread into this one, since the problem is still being actively worked on.

Make sure you have all the tools from 1.60 stable installed. If you try opening preview avs file in VDubMod it will give exact error I guess.
