View Full Version : Prefer no menu - start main movie?

When I watch a DVD it's almost always to watch the main movie from start to finish. I have little interest in scene selection (I can always hit "jump to next" a few times) or extras or having to hit the play button from a menu to start watching.

Other there others who share this preference?

The best way would be if a DVD started with the main feature, and showed the menu only after hitting the menu key. For series there should be an episode selection menu first, but it should be simple and quick to use.

There are actually some commercial dvds authored like that - e.g. the R3K of "Fallen Angels" - it starts with the main feature, you get a menu only upom pressing the "menu" button (an abysmal release otherwise, though).
