making m2v/mpv/menu files

I'm on my way of authoring a dvd but I have a problem - how will I make an m2v/mpv or any menu file in the DVD. I was hoping to make a menu which the user can select the subtitles, episodes, etc.

Your authoring application cannot build menu or transition ? Use dvdmenu or dvdlab (www.mediachance.com). Or build background with your favorite drawing application and with avisynth/mpeg encoder (of your choice) transform it in m2v.

but i can suggest dvdlab :D
