hello

just starting to look into how to get my dv camcorder footage onto dvd. i tried a while ago but got bogged down with all the different programs needed (tmpgenc, ifoedit etc), and then stuff like interlacing or deinterlacing just made my head explode.
so the question is........i see you can buy camcorders that record straight to dvd? well how do they do that if i need all these programs and settings to do mine?

or have things advanced so much i can do that too now on my pc? without going from 1 program to another.

i had a go a while ago but found the footage a bit blocky when i played it on tv. thats when i got bogged down with deinterlacing. so just how do these camcorders do it straight away?

cheers

I don't know about "dv-to-dvd"(?) camcoders.
I can tell you that you can capture-edit-encode and burn to dvd with Premiere Pro (or the easier Premiere Elements), but...they are not for free!;)
