I've been using Dr Divx 1.06 sucessfully for some months now. All of a sudden, I'm getting the error:
The DivX Video Encoder could not be configured correctly. Please ensure that you have installed the DivX codec.
I've tried countless combinations of un-installing / re-installing to no avail. I'm getting really frustrated.
Any ideas?

You've used AGK before. Does AGK have a problem encoding DivX?
If AGK has a problem encoding DivX, then its a codec problem: Start VirtualDubMod manually. (Start ... Run ... Browse ... C:\Program Files\AutoGK\VDubMod\VirtualDubMod.exe).
Use the Video ... Compression command.
See if DivX 5.2.1 is in the list of codecs available on your computer.

AutoGK has been giving me a seperate error relating to AviSynth, so I can't really test out encoding with it for comparison. However, I'm able to encode typical video files (MiniDV, other AVIs, etc) to DivX 5.21 using the regular VirtualDub without any errors.
