I have been reading up on this method and have a question. Could I use this method but skip out the re-encoding part or any part that removes content purely for the reason of importing back into scenraist which where I could then rebuild it as a DVD9 with a layer break position of my choice ?
I hope someone says yes :)

Why not just to copy the original DVD-9 with the appropriate program ?
You can eventually use the BIG3 and generate the script with ScenAid keeping the original assets but i can't help anymore. You should search in the Authoring forum.

EDIT : I assume you've got a DL DVD Recorder.
If not, you may looking for a method to delete some features to gain more bitrate for the reencode process of your main movie ? that's it ?
If so, then i advice you to get the latest DVDReMaKe. It's a wonderful proggy to post-editing purpose.

Thanks for the reply.
I cant just rip the dvd9 to an iso and burn it back with decrypter because that doesnt work properly for myself and many other people. I am trying to rebuild the dvd content from scratch weher I can control the layer break positioning myself.
Yes I have a Pionerr 108.
I dont want to re-encode or remove any content.
I just want all the original content untouched but imported as a project into scenarist.
Thanks.

Hi,
if you mean you got reading issue in your standalone player, you should try the little proggy called "Bit Setting" from LiteOn to change the book type. It can help.

Bit Setting wont be needed as the pioneer A08 sets the book type of a DL+R to dvd-rom automaticly.
