Media Player Classic closes itself on Mpeg1

whenever i open an mpeg1 file in the latest media player classic it closes itself. i didn't have this before. must be some codec disturbance or whatever.

any suggestions how i can track this issue down?

found it out myself with filemonitor from sysinternals. mpc accessed a pinnacle mpeg codec, i uninstalled pinnacle studio this week. but somehow in registry a reference to it remained and hence i got this crash.

admin can delete please.
