Hi there

hope someone can help with this...

i had dvd2svcd working fine before i did a clean install and added SP2 to XP home, although the same problem has occured on a SP1 machine.

I have installed ASPI drivers etc and use tmpgenc as the encoder.

When i try to open an avi file for encoding it says the mpeg2dec dll file does not exist.

this is completly new to me and after reading the forums i cannot find anything that specifically answers this qeustion.

I have both versions of avisynth installed. Guardion knot rip pack. i have also tried with the tsunami codec pack but the same problem.

Can anyone point me towards where i might find the dll file, or what has caused this problem.

thanks

In the frameserver tab there is a browse button to locate this file.
It should be in somewhere in the DVD2SVCD installation directory

C:\Program Files\DVD2SVCD\Avisynth2.5 Plugins\Mpeg2dec\Mpec2dec.dll

should be the path (assuming default installation path)

Thanks for your reply...the files were right where you said, but dvd2svcd didn't think they were avisynth 2.0 dll's and wouldn't accept them.

but:D have found new mpeg2dec2 and DecombLegacy dll's at www.avisynth.org which seem to be working fine
