View Full Version : AutoGK not encoding correctly?

I used DVD Decrypter to take the VOB files off the DVD, and when I tell AutoGK to encode in Xvid, with a fixed width of 640 and Custom Size 1400MB, it kicks out a 4GB file at 720x544 (original DVD resolution). The only thing it did as I asked was to output 128kbps VBR MP3 format audio. What am I missing? Does it downmix the video after it converts it to AVI format? I stopped the process after it finished encoding with VDubMod and finished the audio with BeSweet.exe. It started working on the next file with VDubMod and I was left with a 4GB AVI. Gspot says's it's Xvid though. What's going on?

I'll have to try to duplicate the problem. It did it twice even after checking my settings, so I restarted the program and it worked fine. I'll let you know if it does it again and save my log this time.

make sure you complete uninstall any xvid codecs if you've tried to install a new xvid codec. i had the same problem with oversizing and it wasn't auto gk's fault. i had to completely remove divx and xvid from my system and then reinstall xvid 1.02. that worked for me.
