I'm capturing episodes of beavis and butthead off MTV2 to HuffYUV. It is broadcasted in MPEG2 but the source they use is analog. Sometimes the brightness changes and at other times there are white specks and scratches on the video. I'm producing 2 encodes, XVID and MPEG2.
In Vdub the filters that I'm currently using to process the video to XVID are:
Deinterlace: Blending + Cropping
Resize: 704x480 to 640x480
In TMPG I'm not sure what type of filters to use. The resolution is 352x480 and I want the whole image to be outputted by the dvd player. How much of the image will be cropped off at this resolution (not factoring in the TV cropping)?
Which would be better for my mpeg2 encodes, Stereo AC3 or MP2? If AC3 is better is it worth the hassle(authoring)?
Thanks in Advance.
